As a family-led company, we believe care should feel like family — a kettle on, a chair pulled up, and someone who has time for you.
Every person has a lifetime of stories, experiences, achievements and memories. Our job isn't simply to support the person in front of us today. Our job is to understand the life that shaped them and help them continue living it with dignity, purpose and joy, while maintaining the professional boundaries that keep care safe, respectful and centred around the person.
What we'll do

We're building a domiciliary (home) care service for Whitby and East Cleveland around a few quiet promises — to be present, to be skilled, and to be useful in the ways that actually matter. Here's what that looks like.

Companionship & Wellbeing
A cup of tea, a proper conversation, reassurance or simply some company. Because sometimes having someone there matters most.

Home & Everyday Life
Help with meals, laundry, washing up, changing bedding, light household tasks, shopping and everyday errands.

Getting Out & About
Support with appointments, shopping, clubs, social activities, visiting friends or simply getting out of the house.

Dementia, Respite & End-of-Life Support
Patient, familiar support for people living with dementia, respite for family carers and compassionate support towards the end of life.

Light Pet Care
Help with the little things that keep much-loved pets cared for too — such as feeding, fresh water and other simple day-to-day pet needs.
We want our carers to be known for saying "Yes, let's see what we can do" — not "That's not on the care plan."

The Above and Beyond Way

Above and Beyond Care was founded on a simple belief: good care should never feel like a checklist. We want to know the person behind the care plan — their routines, preferences, stories and the little things that make them who they are. We're building the kind of care service we'd want for our own families.
Chapter I
People before process
Care should adapt to you — not the other way around. We take the time to understand what matters to each person and shape our support around their routines, choices and the way they want to live.

Familiar faces, real relationships
We want our carers to know the people they support — and for the people we support to know them too. We'll prioritise continuity, genuine relationships and enough time to listen, talk and care properly.
Chapter III
The little things matter
Good care isn't measured only by the tasks completed. A cup of tea made just right, remembering someone's favourite programme, stopping for a proper conversation or helping them do something they enjoy can make all the difference to someone's day.
Our aim is simple: whenever we leave, we want you to feel better than when we arrived.

to East Cleveland.
Based locally in Staithes, we'll provide home care across Whitby, East Cleveland and the communities in between. By keeping our initial service area close to home, we can stay responsive, build familiar care teams and provide the continuity of care that matters to us.
